New research makes non-rechargeable batteries rechargeable

Non-rechargeable alkaline batteries commonly use zinc and manganese dioxide. Through a modification of the manganese dioxide, researchers at Stockholm University have discovered that they can recharge non-rechargeable alkaline batteries. A thesis in material chemistry at Stockholm University is now presenting the new results.
