Sandström, Magnus

Sandström, Magnus The research activities are in coordination chemistry, where solvation and complex-formation of ions are studied by diffraction and spectroscopic techniques, resulting in publications in high impact scientific journals. For example, new findings have been obtained of rare earth and platinum group metal solvation and coordination with sulfur-containing ligands of importance e.g. for understanding catalytic properties. Also, development of synchrotron-based sulfur spectroscopy, theoretical and experimental aspects, is performed with potential for environmental and biochemical applications.
